I love the story of Paul.
(see http://www.bible-people.info/Paul.htm )
How abruptly he turned to believe in Christ; how whole heartedly he served Him, just as he had served Judaism- The transformation was great! It wasn’t like, “oh, I’m a Christian now so I need to be meek and turn my cheek to my offenders, or be trampled over in suffering from non-Christians." Sure, there is a place for this; there is a time to be meek and to be strong, and I think if you don’t have the whole story (bible) things can seem confusing. -Which is why the book comes off as so contradictive.
The story of Paul allows us to see that we are who God created us to be and He’s ok with that. He has a purpose for us all, it isn’t cookie cutter. So if you’re a passionate person, scream it to the world what He has done for mankind. If you’re opinionated, tell people your opinion about the love of the One who will neither parish with this world nor rot with everything in it.
A “dead” Christian doesn't do ANYONE any good. Not themselves, not the world, not God and not even the Devil. You know, the kind that shut themselves off to the world and all it's evil. (or even those who allow their beliefs to be hidden) The perfect scripture of this is Matthew 5:13, stating:
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.”
But remember, actions speak louder than words...
Following the last verse is Matthew 5:14-16
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
I'm really enjoying the SNOW!!!
Robert and I had a "snow ball fight" this morning. Which was short lived when he went to run away from me ON TILE. Oops!
Snow may be no big news to the rest of you, but ANY wether here in El Paso is a treat. Though it worries me that only half the population in EP knows enough to turn on their head lights... Maybe because I’m already used to them driving like maniacs, but it bothers me more than the fact that some people still drive as though conditions were normal.
Robert got his head buzzed last night. He made my attempt to cut with sissors (in his normal "fade" style cut) a complete nightmare last night. So I thought maybe it would go faster (and the fact that it was already looking messed up) with the buzzers. By this time Nana is hugging him close and I begin at the bottom. But he still whaled and shook his head so I just went for the whole head. Poor guy looks like a cancer patient, but I'm getting used to the look and kindof enjoy it because it some how better directs my attention to his facial expressions. I guess I've been staring at his hair all this time, lol. Robert doesn't seem to like it, but everyone at daycare seemed to absolutely love it so I'm sure he'll change his mind. They all gush and coo over Robert anyway, but this morning was like, "woah."

He's still our "cutie patootie."
I hope you all are staying safe, healthy and warm this holiday season. I’m rushing through it so quickly that I have to keep reminding myself Christmas isn’t over yet. My sister-in-law and her man came to see us for TG and we swaped major presents (meaning, not the stocking stuffers) while they were here. So in my mind, Christmas has already come and gone. Hehe. I try not to rush time b/c then you miss out on all the precious things, but it’s tough to do when your hubby is missing for yearly bouts.
Finals are next week. If all goes well, I'll be an AA graduate! :)
